Ava Reyes

Ava is a senior at UC Berkeley pursuing degrees in Political Science and Rhetoric. She has always had a passion for political communication and how messaging can shape our political realities.
Outside of academics, she served as a staff writer in the World Affairs Section for the Berkeley Political Review and currently serves as Senior Editor. She is also a Research Assistant for both the Risk-Resilience Research Lab at the Goldman School of Public Policy and the Social Psychology and Business Lab at Haas Business School. In these roles, she analyzes institutional decision-making trends in parole processes as well as social hierarchies and status dynamics of leaders in organizations.
Ava previously worked as a Travers Fellow for the Commonwealth Club where she conducted in-depth research on speakers, developed content for social media platforms, and supported public affairs programming. She also served on the Club’s Social Media and Communications team, helping manage and grow its TikTok presence.
